DUI’s Ademi Confirms Zeynula’s Party’s Left European Front

Democratic Party of Turks has decided to participate in the local elections on its own, with its own mayoral and council member candidates.

Also, its leader, Zulfikar Zeynula, has said cooperation with the DUI-led European Front has ended. Expressing concern over the increasingly fierce political vocabulary used by the two largest ethnic blocs in the country, he points out his Party will protect, as a priority, the interests of the Turkish community.

On Wednesday, Kanal 5 tried but wasn’t able to get a comment on the decision. However, DUI Vice-President Arber Ademi has confirmed Zeynula’s Party has left the Front.

Nonetheless, he stresses that it is not the result of issues within the coalition, but rather it’s about an independent decision by the Party to run in the elections on its own that DUI will respect.
