On Monday, Public Security Bureau Director Aleksandar Janev visited Tetovo, where he met that city’s Internal Affairs Sector’s management. They considered all circumstances related to and measures taken following the 10 August armed incident in which a person had been killed and four others injured.
“I want citizens in Tetovo and the region to know that police are fully mobilised and dedicated. Activities are being taken to guarantee and deliver safety. We will not allow the fear and violence of individuals to violate the everyday safety and peace in the community. At the same time, my message to perpetrators and all those who think they can solve disputes and disagreements by using weapons is that they will be found, brought to justice, and penalised”, he stressed, describing safety as a common value.
The same day, police said three people had been detained regarding the 10 August shootout. Also, during searches at multiple locations in Gajre village, items of interest to the investigation have been found.
