Reactions to Maja Lozanovska-Robert Martinoski Case Continue

Regarding the case of dismissed Krste Petkov Misirkov Secondary School Head-teacher Maja Lozanovska and Robert Martinoski who, as the Ministry has said, will be dismissed as Chief of the Demir Hisar Department of Internal Affairs and face disciplinary proceedings for unprofessional and unethical conduct, on Monday, SDSM stressed that it was needed for Martinoski to be held criminally accountable as well.

Levica shares that stand, too. Dimitar Apasiev’s party also alleged Martinoski and the current Chief of the Bitola Internal Affairs Sector were relatives.

“The family closeness of Robert Martinoski with the current Chief of the Bitola Internal Affairs Sector mustn’t be a reason for an AMNESTY of the partisan chief’s self-will”, it adds.

On Saturday, when the scandal broke, Demir Hisar’s Mayor, Nikola Najdovski, told Sitel the Education Inspectorate had found irregularities in Lozanovska’s work, which was why it had been requested that she be replaced. Asked what those irregularities were, the Mayor said he didn’t know exactly which, adding that there had been a lot and that he didn’t have at that moment the list with him.

On Tuesday (12 August), Lozanovska, together with her attorney, as they have said, will go to police for an informative conversation, during which they will ask for insight on the School’s premises.

According to them, there was breaking and entering in an attempt to find the stamps, without which Lozanovska’s successor and professors couldn’t be employed before the scheduling of the elections. Lozanovska’s stand is that she’s been dismissed illegally, while the search is a result of political pressures in the pre-election period.

The scandal broke after a video had been posted on social media showing Martinoski demanding that Lozanovska be taken for an informative conversation at a police station on an ambulance stretcher. However, the Prosecutor’s Office said there had been a search order, not one for a detention or urgent questioning of the person.
