Process to Elect SCPC President to Resume after Elections

The process to elect a State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) President will resume after the elections. A seven-member commission will be in charge of the process to select candidates.

Before it made its decision for the process to be held after the local elections, Parliament had asked for an opinion from the SCPC.

Though it was notified that the matter didn’t fall under its competence, it was indicated that bans stemming from the Electoral Code and Law on Prevention of Corruption and Conflict of Interest should be respected.
