SDSM leader Venko Filipce reacted to the claims of PM Hristijan Mickoski that SDSM and DUI have been allegedly planning to obstruct the upcoming local election.
“VMRO-DPMNE and Mickoski are well aware that they are losing the support of the people, and so they resort to fictive scenarios and accusations against SDSM for alleged plans for sabotage of the local election. In fact, I am certain that it is the party in power that will make obstructions, because recent analyses show that VMRO-DPMNE is about to lose between 100,000 and 120,000 votes compared to the number of votes they won at the parliamentary election in 2024.
The fact that after an entire year of their rule, VMRO-DPMNE still try to hold SDSM and DUI responsible for certain situations in the country is clear indication they are not very certain in their election victory. The very fact they proposed changes to the Electoral Code after the local election was declared is clear indication it is they who try to sabotage the process”, Filipce said.
