The Stip-based Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) has requested detention for the man (43) who assaulted two football players during the match between the youth teams of FC Bregalnica and FC Shkupi in Stip last Sunday.
According to PPO, the suspect injured two football players which had to be rushed to a hospital, and provoked feelings of fear and insecurity among the rest of the audience at the match.
The Ministry of Interior already documented the incident and filed criminal charges against the assailant. The Football Federation of North Macedonia (FFM) condemned the incident too.
