The Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) issued orders for investigative procedures against 13 persons, following the Monday action of the Financial Police in which seven people were arrested under suspicion that they and several other persons damaged the state budget of North Macedonia by around 430 million denars.
According to PPO, eight citizens of North Macedonia, four citizens of Kosovo and one citizen of Croatia are suspected of tax evasion, fraud and money laundering, conducted between 2014 and 2023 through fictitious business entities for trade with oil derivates.
PPO has requested detention measures against all suspects, including the six ones that the police are still searching for.
