SEC Replaces Member of Municipal Election Commissions with New Ones

The State Electoral Commission (SEC) held a session Tuesday at which it dismissed the old members of several municipal election commissions and appointed new ones, including presidents and vice-presidents.

41 members of different municipal election commission were dismissed by SEC after submitting documentation stating that they can no longer respond to future electoral obligations.

Upon a proposal by member Ditmire Shehu, SEC accepted the decision to contact immediately all new appointed members of these commissions, in order to prepare them in time to respond to electoral obligations on 19 October, when the first round of the local election is scheduled to take place. At this session too, SEC adopted the plan for employments in 2026.
