Delcevo Mayor Goran Trajkovski denies the charges filed against him by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, where he is suspected of abuse of official position.
“The employment of an administrative official form 2018 was done in accordance with all relevant laws.
The selection and the ranking of the candidates for a given administrative position is not conducted by the municipality, but by the Agency for Public Administration, which forms a commission that conducts the entire process.
Once all is done, the mayor, in this case me, is obliged to select and employ the best ranked candidate for the position. At this particular public call, there was only one candidate, henceforth I was obliged to employ them, henceforth I am certain there is nothing illegal in the procedure”, Trajkovski said.
According to the charges of PPO, Trajkovski by approving the employment, abused his official position and damaged the budget of the Municipality of Delcevo by around 762,000 denars.
