Health Minister Azir Aliu called upon all citizens to report to the Ministry of Health any forms of irregularities they will encounter during cardiological and cardiovascular interventions they will undergo at clinics in the country.
This follows the Ministry’s initiative for forming a commission of international experts that will inspect cardiological interventions done in private hospitals in the country, after cardiologist Sasko Kedev claimed that some of these clinics conducted unnecessary interventions over patients with sole purpose to profit from the same.
“We prioritise transparency, and we attend every problem with maximum accountability and in line with all relevant laws and rules of procedure. I encourage the citizens to address us if they suspect there have been irregularities during a medical intervention the underwent around hospitals in our country”, Aliu said.
