Filipce: VMRO-DPMNE’s Economic Policies Devastate Citizens

SDSM leader Venko Filipce addressed at a press conference on Wednesday series of new accusations of VMRO-DPMNE and the economic policies they have implemented since assuming power.

“Tens of millions of euros have been stolen from the citizens thanks to the fact that the government does absolutely nothing to put the rising inflation rate under control. On top of this, the government refuses to increase salaries, thus increasing the poverty among the citizens, who are unable to purchase fundamental goods with their salaries which are not sufficient for the constantly rising prices of goods.

While VMRO-DPMNE continues to generate instability and poverty, SDSM knows how to bring things back on the right track, and we shall not give up on our solutions for increase of salaries, a minimum salary of 500 euros and abolishment of value-added tax for foodstuffs”, Filipce said.

VMRO-DPMNE reacted to Filipce’s press conference, publishing data about the average salary.

“Ever since VMRO-DPMNE took over the government, the average monthly salary paid in the country almost doubled compared to how high it was during the rule of SDS[M]. When it comes to the inflation rate, during their rule it was 4.8%, and today it stands at 3.6%. SDS[M] and Filipce may lie as much as they want, but they can never change the reality”, they react from VMRO-DPMNE.
