SDSM’s candidate for Mayor of Skopje Kaja Sukova said during a morning show on Sitel TV that she intends to implement a project that will introduce in Skopje bus rapid transit (BRT).
“For decades now, Skopje faces serious problems with the public transport and the traffic jams. The BRT is the right project for dealing with these issues, because it is a fast and efficient system, it is an eco-friendly and sustainable solution, and funds for it were already secured by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). If we initiate this project now, it will be complete in around 3 years, and we will have the first BRT line from Gjorce Petrov to Aerodrom”, Sukova said.
