DUI leader Ali Ahmeti addressed Tuesday evening the citizens of Cair during a party event.
In his speech, Ahmeti said that Macedonian politicians continue to spread false claims that DUI want to destabilise and divide the country.
“If we really wanted to divide Macedonia, we would’ve done that in 2001, with 15,000 soldiers completely equipped, ready to overtake Tetovo and leave it whenever they want. However, we stand for a unitary state, equal for all its citizens. Let them remember that we do not want to live in this country as tenants”, Ahmeti said.
VMRO-DPMNE reacted to Ahmeti’s speech, saying that not only they cannot divide the country, but they can also end up in jail.
