On Tuesday afternoon, the Veles Internal Affairs Sector presented new details regarding the previous day’s double murder-suicide in the city.
The statements were made by the person that was the partner of 31-year-old Rosica Koceva, who was killed by, according to suspicions, her former partner, 39-year-old Ilija Stefanovski, who afterwards committed suicide.
The current partner, F.T., was spotted at the scene. He stated that they had gone together to the home of Rosica K.’s father, Kiro Kocev, the second murder victim in the case, because he hadn’t been answering his phone, and that after Rosica had opened the door by using a sharp object, Ilija had attacked her, which had been followed by him locking the door.
According to police in Veles, afterwards, officers entered the home and found the 74-year-old Kiro dead, with injuries from a sharp object. Ilija, too, was found in the home with injuries from a sharp object as well.
According to preliminary information, it is being suspected that after he’d attacked Rosica and her father, he inflicted injuries on himself. Then, he was taken to the Veles Hospital, where the doctors pronounced him dead.
A public prosecutor and a Veles Internal Affairs Sector team conducted insight. The dead persons’ bodies have been sent to an autopsy procedure. Measures are being taken to solve the case in full.
