Regarding the Trubarevo fire case, the prime suspect was issued a 30-day detention measure, while the other three received a house arrest one. A legal entity is covered by the charge as well.
Commenting on the fire, Environment Minister Izet Mexhiti stated on Friday that there had been regular control checks at the storage, adding that the entire documentation had been submitted to investigative organs. Prosecutors, on their part, have continued its activities to determine potential accountability of other persons as well.
Despite last week’s announcements by VMRO-DPMNE’s Parliamentary Group that legal changes would be filed to classify arson acts as terrorism, Parliament is yet to receive such draft-changes.
