Activities of National Alliance for Integration and VLEN Candidates

Mayoral candidates in the ethnic Albanian bloc continued their activities on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as well.

The candidate for Cair of the DUI-led National Alliance for Integration coalition, Bujar Osmani, presented plans to solve the issue of illegal structures and, as he added, all problems created by them facing citizens.

In that regard, he said there would be a resolute fight against the “mob” in urbanism. At another event, on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, Osmani said two new kindergartens would be built and all others would be renovated.

“The time for change is starting now, with a vision founded on real problems and concrete solutions”, he noted.

In Suto Orizari, the DUI-led coalition’s candidate in the Skopje mayoral race, MP Skender Rexhepi Zejd, said he would work in the interest of citizens, but also oppose all attempts to consider ethnic Albanians second-class citizens.

In Tetovo, National Alliance for Integration mayoral candidate Bajram Rexhepi stated that the Municipality should get a general urban plan in order for it to function right. VLEN, too, continued its activities in Tetovo.

Its co-leader, Mayor BIlall Kasami, who’s running for another term, stated that there would be a 5-km sewerage project worth over 96 million euros.

“The city will be transformed into an even better place to live in”, he added.

Kasami, as well as fellow VLEN co-leader Izet Mexhiti, who’s mayoral candidate in Cair, also met pensioners in both Municipalities.

Support for pensioners so far through the increase of pensions is visible, they stressed, adding that the October and March increases combined would amount to 7,000 denars. Regarding Cair, Mexhiti presented plans for a youth centre for development, innovation, and creativity of young people.
