Mickoski Continues Criticism of ‘Informal Coalition’ of SDSM, DUI, and Levica

At a rally in Cair on Thursday, VMRO-DPMNE leader and PM Hristijan Mickoski again stated that citizens had two options in the local elections: the coalition led by his party or the “informal coalition” consisting of SDSM, DUI, and Levica.

According to him, the leaders of those three parties, Venko Filipce, Ali Ahmeti, and Dimitar Apasiev have joined forces to come to power at all costs, without any values and without any idea connecting them. Mickoski reiterated also his stand that those three political options have pathological hate for DPMNE. Mickoski criticised what he said was SDSM’s dark campaign against him.

The same day, at a rally in Saraj, Mickoski stated that it was clear his coalition would win the local elections.

“Let’s not allow all those structures that would for seven years rob, destroy, and sell Macedonia out”, the VMRO-DPMNE leader stressed.

Also on Thursday, in an interview with Kanal 5, Mickoski stated his conservative assessment was that VMRO-DPMNE’s coalition would win 45-50 mayoral seats.

When it comes to his stand that Levica is helping DUI in municipalities with a predominantly ethnic Albanian population, he pointed out that unlike Dimitar Apasiev’s party, VMRO-DPMNE wasn’t hiding that it is helping VLEN, adding that it was logical for ruling coalition partners to do so.

As far as the EU path is concerned, he again said that there should be respect for international law, over which Bulgaria, too, had obligations, as well as guarantees.

“If the EU really wants to see Macedonia as a member, it will do for that country at least a little of what it does for other countries”, he stressed, adding that that was a clear stand.
