Considering the Administrative Court has rejected the lawsuits, the SEC will hold a session on Wednesday where it will present the final results in the municipalities where objections were filed concerning the second round of the elections.
It explains that the session will also see the conclusion that the election process in Gostivar, Vrapchishte, Centar Zhupa, and Mavrovo i Rostushe weren’t successful due to the low turnout level. The Government is waiting for that notification. According to the Electoral Code, it will have 15 days to appoint trustees, until the re-run processes.
The decision on who they will be will be made this week. However, the current, Acting, Mayor of Gostivar, Limani, who won the biggest number of votes disagrees with the interpretation.
He believes that the Local Self-Government Law should be applied in the case, explaining that he will file an initiative before the Constitutional Court.
