SDSM’s Nikolovski, a former Agriculture Minister, has presented a draft solution to unblock 130 million euros in IPARD funds in order for farmers to be able to get the money. According to him, first and foremost, the factual situation and scope of suspension should be determined in order to note institutional weaknesses.
The second step, he said, should be an Action Plan that will be drawn up and submitted by the country to the EC. On the other hand, the current Minister, Tripunovski, stated that he was refusing assistance from SDSM, saying those creating problems couldn’t offer solutions.
He explained that 50 agreements had been stopped. Nonetheless, Tripunovski added that there was no danger that funds would be lost, i.e. the payment would resume once checks ended.
