In an interview with Telma, PM Mickoski said VMRO-DPMNE’s Parliamentary Group was accepting the proposals for a committee of inquiry and oversight debate over the Kochani fire.
“O.K., we will talk, but we will also talk about all the other big tragedies that have happened to us in the past years. Let’s talk about everything”, he noted, calling for everyone responsible for wrongdoing to face justice.
As regards Kocevski, the PM said considering both he and a huge part of the public were dissatisfied with the Prosecutor General’s work, him being replaced was the logical consequence. The procedure, the PM noted, will resume considering the elections have ended. He also voiced dissatisfaction with the Judicial Council’s work.
Regarding the budget for the judiciary, he said it was higher by 75% when compared to EU members, adding he saw no reason for it to be increased whatsoever. Asked whether there would be a change to the funding of the judicial system, the PM didn’t give a specific answer.
