The Office for Management of Registers of Births, Marriages, and Deaths Trade Union is starting a boycott, i.e. it has decided for employees not to do their job tasks in the workplace because authorities are not signing the collective agreement that will result in a salary increase.
However, the Office’s Director, Faton Fazliu, has said he’s in contact with the Union and that a draft collective agreement has been submitted to the Finance Ministry and the Government. In that regard, he expects the longtime problem to be resolved. The Union, however, has said if its demands fall on deaf ears, there will be a general strike.
