Judges and public prosecutors are making a final attempt to get higher pay in 2025. Though they cannot intervene from a legal standpoint, they’re once again turning to the Constitutional Court.
Through the initiative, they’re trying, for the second time, to reintroduce the higher coefficient when it comes to pay calculation, which would see them get a pay increase of around 250 euros a month. Namely, the Court will on Wednesday (December 24) be deciding on two initiatives, filed by judges and prosecutors.
The issue is whether the reduction of coefficients, voted through by Parliament in February of 2024, was unconstitutional.
