Hoxha and Sali Elected Ministers, Latter Voted through also as 1st Deputy PM

On Wednesday, with over 70 votes in favor, with zero abstentions and zero against, Muhamet Hoxha was elected Environment Minister, while Bekim Sali was elected 1st Deputy PM and European Affairs Minister.

PM Mickoski, presenting the nominations, said the two had experience within state services, adding that he expected them to contribute to their respective areas. Ruling majority MPs unanimously supported the election, whereas the opposition described the process as a cosmetic change of the “incompetent” government.

Sali’s predecessor as European Affairs Minister, Murtezani, will become an advisor at the PM’s Cabinet in charge of implantation of the Reform Agenda on the EU path.
