Speaker Gashi has called on Parliamentary Groups to demonstrate political will and reach a deal to elect an Ombudsperson.
As he pointed out on Thursday, it’s inadmissible for the Office to be without a person at its helm for such a long period of time, i.e. since Naser Ziberi’s retirement in July.
The Speaker said he would get personally engaged for the blockade to be overcome, adding he would immediately convene a session if a compromise is reached.
