President Siljanovska Davkova again Talks about Guarantees on EU Path

In an interview with Kanal 5, President Siljanovska Davkova says national consensus on the EU integration path should be built over guarantees that there will not be new conditions for the country.

As she adds senior European representatives have said guarantees are needed and the shield of the veto should be brought down. However, she warns that even Western Balkan countries that are quickest can face a veto as well.

According to her, any EU member, a third of parliamentarians or the Commission can launch a procedure against Bulgaria for violation of the fundamental principles.
