The parents of Nagip, the two-year-old kid that died on January 2, after a piece of a projectile had struck its head on New Year’s Eve, have called on authorities to determine what exactly struck the child’s head.
“That night, we were celebrating at home, with the kids. It told me, “Mom, pow.’ I picked him up in my arms and went outside”, the mother, Gabriela Dinolj, said.
The family’s already hired a lawyer through which it will file petitions and reports. The lawyer points out that stray bullets know no ethnic affiliation, adding that, if there’s no control, everyone can suffer the same fate.
The Interior Ministry is working on the case. However, it explains that only the autopsy procedure, which is yet to be performed, can show what exactly happened, i.e. whether the kid was struck by a stray bullet.
