On Monday, the SEC presented the preliminary official results of the reruns.
According to them, the candidate endorsed by the DUI-led coalition, Valbon Limani, has defeated VLEN’s candidate, Nevzat Bejta, and will be the new Mayor of Gostivar.
Also, in Mavrovo i Rostushe, VMRO-DPMNE’s Oner Jakuposki has defeated SDSM’s candidate, Anes Ahmeti, and will be the new Mayor.
The DUI-led coalition’s candidate, Isen Shabani, has won the mayoral race in Vrapchishte, defeating Zulharajt Demiri. In Centar Zhupa, Ariyan Demiri of the Democratic Party of Turks is the mayoral race’s winner.
Voter turnout levels were 28.72% in Gostivar, 28.57% in Mavrovo i Rostushe, 32.23% in Vrapchishte, and 13.26% in Centar Zhupa.
SEC President Boris Kondarko stated also that the presentation of the preliminary official results meant that the 48-hour deadline for filing objections regarding the process to sum up and determine the results had started.
He added that the other 48-hour deadline, which concerned filing objections over the voting process, had been underway since polling stations had closed the previous day. If there are no objections, the the final official results will be presented on Wednesday.
