Alliance for Albanians (AA) MP Halil Snopche asked Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski, at a Q&A session in the Parliament, why the Safe City system does not distribute SMSs to the citizens over eventual traffic violations in Albanian language.
Toshkovski responded that that Albanian language will be incorporated in the system in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
“Only 11 deaths in traffic accidents in Skopje were detected since the cameras were installed, and during the test-period, there were only two such cases. Safety is improved, thanks to all citizens who carefully use their vehicles around Skopje. We need to speak of projects and actions in which human lives are saved and preserved. And please, for one, when you come to speak at this booth, speak in the name of all citizens of Macedonia, not just a certain group”, Toshkovski told Snopche.
