North Macedonia’s Prosecutor’s Office Forms Case over Serbia Marijuana Case

Following claims by Serbian authorities that the five tons of marijuana seized near Krushevac was transported from North Macedonia, that country’s Prosecutor’s Office has formed a case.

It points out that it will take concrete and coordinated action to determine all facts regarding the involvement of the country in order to ensure full criminal-legal accountability. However, the Customs Administration hasn’t received official data on the case and made checks. It has called for there to be no speculation related to data not confirmed by official institutions.

The Interior Ministry is taking operational-tactical measures and activities, saying there is cooperation and exchange of ongoing operation with Serbian police.

SDSM has continued its criticism of institutions, alleging support and protection from structures within the government, while VMRO-DPMNE again ironically remarked that Filipche’s party should address the questions to Zaev.
