On Wednesday, police, during control activities on the Gradsko-Veles highway, in Skopje, Probishtip, Tetovo, Gostivar, Kumanovo, Strumica, and Shtip detained and confiscated the vehicles of 11 people. Once the cases are documented, all will be charged according to Article 297-a of the Criminal Code, reckless driving, the Interior Ministry has said. Five of those people were driving without possessing a license.
Asked about the protests against confiscation of vehicles, SDSM leader Filipche stated that though they were not a way to solve problems, the Government had an obligation to offer institutional solutions and laws concerning all categories of citizens.
