PM Mickoski in Interview with MTV1

In Thursday’s afternoon interview with MTV1, PM Mickoski, regarding the police operation that was underway domestically in relation to the seizure of five tons of marijuana in Serbia, stated that he expected Macedonia’s Interior Ministry to seize tens of tons of marijuana these days. It’s about a serious case, he added.

Regarding the Trade Union Federation’s initiative for an urgent reduction of salaries of officials, Mickoski said it was politicking that had already been rejected once by the Constitutional Court.

As he noted, instead of instant solutions that would be abolished, the Government’s strategy aims at a gradual and lawful return of salaries of officials to the level prior to the 2023 increase of 78%. He added that his cabinet planned to do so by the end of its term in 2028. Regarding the Safe City project, he again voiced satisfaction with the results.
