On Tuesday, the Inspectorate for Use of Languages conducted extraordinary inspection supervision on the premises of the Justice Ministry over the way in which the Bar Exam is taken.
Though it’s part of the Ministry, the Inspectorate was checking the system from within and requesting documents and explanation about how the procedure, which has always seen the Exam been taken in Macedonian, is carried out.
Inspectors told Sitel the activities followed several initiatives and a petition from students. They pointed out that they would look for irregularities, but weren’t able to say whether they would do so in documents or cases.
Minister Filkov stated that they didn’t even know whether the extraordinary supervision was legal. He called for institutions not to be misused, as well as for there to be respect for the Constitution and, consequently, for the taking of the Exam in Macedonian.
However, also on Tuesday, DUI filed a criminal charge against Filkov over the Bar Exam in Albanian issue.
