President Siljanovska Davkova believes the state needs a new and bigger plane. She said on Thursday that it was not pleasant to use the Government’s Learjet. Not only was it manufactured 25 years ago, but also it was bought as a second-hand plane, the President noted.
“My fellow presidents say having a bigger plane is more rational and cheaper because more people, including journalists, can travel on a single flight”, she emphasized.
Siljanovska Davkova also stated that her regional counterparts referred to the Learjet as the Wright brothers’ one because it was the smallest and oldest. Regarding the candidates for new ambassadors, she said over 67% of them were career diplomats.
Nonetheless, she pointed out that that didn’t mean people outside that line of work were not nominated, adding that that applied to other countries too.
