An investigation has been launched against six people in relation to the five tons of marijuana that was seized in Serbia after it had been transported from North Macedonia through the Tabanovce crossing.
The prime suspect is Skopje-based Alphapharm owner Ivan Dragnic, who, together with a partner of his, Predrag Brkovic, and other unidentified persons, according to suspicions, organized the procurement and transport, on multiple occasions, by using freight vehicles, with the intent to sell it further. The two people previously issued a 48-hour detention measure have now been issued a 30-day one.
Though PM Mickoski and Interior Minister Toshkovski weren’t previously confirming whether the marijuana had exited the country, they have now said that according to the one stop system agreement, Serbia’s officers are in charge of entry. Health Minister Aliu has said six of 10 companies processed so far will lose their medical marijuana license.
