Foreign Ministry Calls on Citizens in Mexico to Urgently Leave Country

The Foreign Ministry has called on citizens of North Macedonia currently in Mexico to urgently leave the country due to the significantly worsened security situation. At the same time, it recommended that all non-essential travel to that country be postponed.

The Ministry says citizens in need of assistance are able to use the 24/7 SOS phone, +389 75 268 736, or send an email to globalsos@mfagov.mk. In addition, they can contact the Embassy in Washington (+1 (202) 758-7798 and washington@mfa.gov.mk).

Violence in Mexico has escalated since the killing of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes.
