Officer who Let Grubi Through Dismissed and Issue Suspended Sentence

While former DPM Grubi is under house arrest, the police officer who let him through the day he left North Macedonia, December 15, 2024, has received both a dismissal and a suspended sentence.

According to Telma’s information, the man, B.J., who failed to detain the former DPM even though his name was on the so-called stop list, received a two-year suspended sentence. The same officer received a ban on performing activity for the next two years, meaning he cannot serve as a police officer during that period.

The Interior Ministry has confirmed that the man was fired. Regarding the second officer, who was working the morning shift, he was reassigned to a lower position.
