Levi Agrees with Siljanovska Davkova’s Stand on Increased Police Surveillance

Increased police surveillance of Jewish facilities is necessary due to the events in the Middle East, according to Jewish Community President Levi.

He shares the stand of President Siljanovska Davkova, who stated after Sunday’s Security Council session that special protection was needed for the Holocaust Memorial Center, the seats of the Community, and the synagogues, following the escalation of the U.S.-Iran situation.

Levi says for Sitel he is in constant contact with Macedonian security services. Sitel toured the area on Monday, saying there was no visible police presence near the Holocaust Memorial Center or around the embassies. The Interior Ministry hasn’t received a request from embassies.
