The constitutive session of the working group for the Electoral Code was held on Monday. Justice Minister Filkov said that he’d been elected to head it, upon a proposal from all parties.
Decisions were made also on the decision-making method, dynamism of work, and rules of procedure. A deal was reached for all decisions to be made by consensus. The next meeting will be held on March 23.
When it comes to whether there will be changes to the Code or a completely new text, for now, it’s unknown.
“It depends on the proposals. If they exceed 30%, we will work on a new one. If not, we will work in the frames of the existing one”, Filkov stated.
