USJE has said that in accordance with the legal deadlines, it has submitted, to the Ministry of Environment, the application for the extension of the A-integrated environmental permit.
During the preparation of the application, the company points out, it fully follows obligations and conditions arising from legal acts and bylaws and cooperates with all relevant institutions. USJE says the care for the environment is a fundamental value for the company.
However, regarding the request, Stop to USJE initiative activists carried out a so-called guerilla activity outside the Ministry on Thursday, describing the permit as one for legal poisoning.
“If all our proposals are taken into consideration, USJE’s new permit will be a true A-integrated permit, which will make USJE operate as a modern eco-friendly cement factory in line with the example of other cement factories in the world”, the initiative’s Meri Bakalova said.
