Former Skopje Mayor Shilegov said on Tuesday that according to SDSM’s Statute, the process to exclude a party member was carried out by the municipal organization of which they are part. He added that if party leader Filipche wanted to implement such an initiative, he should come to the organization in Karposh to talk with members there.
Shilegov pointed out in that regard he would try to ensure a big number of members would be there for a discussion on both the issue of his exclusion and Filipche leaving.
According to Shilegov, his views, presented in Sunday’s interview for Sitel, that the current SDSM leadership works in full agreement with VMRO-DPMNE for the interests of the ruling party, not for SDSM and its membership, have been confirmed.
“I said it was obvious that an agreement existed that foresaw SDSM being the state it was in, persistently missing the topics and allowing VMRO-DPMNE to have two terms, in exchange for not being the subject of certain possible, potential investigations or criminal cases”, he underlined.
The same day, however, explaining the Executive Board’s decision to initiate a process to exclude Shilegov, Filipche said it had been passed by consensus on the basis of a conclusion it was about a process of working for VMRO-DPMNE and an attempt at internal division of the party.
