Numerous Issues over Interior Ministry Employees’ Sick Leaves Registered

The Health Insurance Fund presented on Monday data showing numerous irregularities regarding sick leaves of Interior Ministry members. Eighty employees who had opened a total of 514 sick leaves were covered by the inspections.

Irregularities were found in relation to 29 of them (37%), while 100 out of a total of 236 sick leaves are disputed.

The individuals frequently changed their primary care physicians, lacked key documents such as X-rays for sciatica or lumbago, exceeded the allowed time frames, and so on. Some of them even posted pictures from abroad on social media while on sick leave.
