Journalist Ademi Rejects Accusations over Language Case Involving Janevska

Journalist Nevrij Ademi has rejected the accusations that he addressed Minister of Education Janevska in a threatening or insulting tone when at the event in Tetovo. On social media, he states that PM Mickoski’s accusations against him are an attempt to deflect attention from the essential issue.

Ademi points out that it is unacceptable for a public office holder, elected by votes and paid by taxpayer money, to avoid the responsibility of communicating in the language of every citizen of the country. The journalist says he is simply and fairly asking for respect for his mother tongue, Albanian.

“Dear PM, you are becoming the reason for numerous threats from Macedonian citizens that I am receiving via text. Therefore, the responsibility falls on you”, the journalist stresses.
