Prosecutor Ristoska Critical of Council’s Decision

Prosecutor Lenche Ristoska has criticized the Council of Public Prosecutor’s decision rejecting her petition over PM Mickoski’s comments.

In her view, the rejection sends a message that prosecutors are left to deal on their own with pressures, insults, and defamation from affected parties and centers of power.

Ristoska says room is left for public callouts by defendants or lawyers of theirs to remain without an institutional reaction. If the Council had dilemmas, it could have called the PM to clarify who the statement was in reference to, she underlines.
