The Program Council of the public broadcaster, MRT, discussed the case of the performance by a 13-year-old girl, wearing a T-shirt containing a so-called Greater Albania map, of a song called “Albanian Territories”, broadcast on MTV2.
Its conclusion is that the broadcast was in violation of special prohibitions from Article 48 of the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services. It tasked MRT Director Cvetkovski with taking proper activities and measures to determine responsibility regarding the identified violation.
He hasn’t ruled out the possibility of dismissing MTV2 Editor Merita Gashi.
