Tuesday’s hearing in the trial over the Thaler 2 case, in which former PM Gruevski and VMRO-DPMNE are the defendants, was postponed due to the absence of witness and former Government Secretary General Kiril Bozhinovski, who had been summoned by the defense.
Gruevski’s attorney stated that he had contacted Bozhinovski, adding that he was on a family trip and had submitted flight tickets as proof that he was not in the country. The lawyer assured that Bozhinovski would appear at the next hearing, scheduled for April 30.
Hristijan Smilevski is the new Prosecutor in the case, succeeding Lenche Ristoska. He said he had studied the case, adding that he hoped the procedure would be completed before the statute of limitations expired towards the end of August or the beginning of September.
