The people of Kriva Palanka should be asked via referendum about the antimony mine, SDSM said on Wednesday. Mayor Mitovski cannot decide alone or negotiate with PM Mickoski, it pointed out in the press release.
Though SDSM is adamant it is not against investments, it stresses it is against a mine that endangers the health of the citizens. That is why, it believes, the Mayor (who’s actually from the ranks of SDSM), must organize a referendum.
Mitovski, SDSM also emphasized, must primarily listen to his citizens, not Mickoski, “the man who sees the state as his own tender”.
