Zoran Ristoski Elected MRT Director

MRT’s Program Council has elected Zoran Ristoski as the new head of the public broadcaster. He is succeeding Marjan Ristoski. On Thursday, 12 of the 13 members of the Council voted for Ristoski.

Toni Glamchevski, Iskra Rebac, Pero Popov, Zoran Bogatinov, Sotir Sotirovski, and Igor Sebishki were among those that had applied for the competition. As the Council explained, six submitted candidacies were considered for the position of Director.

Levica, however, had previously said Ristoski was expected to be elected head, adding that it would constitute direct political influence within the public broadcaster.

Ristoski has been the owner of a marketing agency, Grey Worldwide, which gets tenders from the National Lottery, it points out.
