With signatures from 30 MPs, lawmakers representing the DUI-led European Front will attempt to initiate constitutional changes. On Monday, they announced that they were starting to collect signatures and called on all, both ruling majority and opposition, MPs to sign.
They made a special appeal to VLEN MPs which, as they underlined, will deliver on the promises made to the citizens to proceed on the EU path.
“This is an issue that transcends partisan interests, this is an issue that transcends coalition calculations, this is an essential issue of the strategic orientation of the country”, DUI MP Blerim Bexheti said.
However, VLEN described the initiative as unserious and self-sabotaging.
“DUI seriously insults the EU and Albanians when Blerim Bexheti speaks about European values”, it stressed.
