Rapporteur Waitz’s statement regarding North Macedonia, according to SDSM, has clearly and alarmingly confirmed everything that the party has warned for months.
MEP Waitz, SDSM said in a press release on Monday, has explicitly said he sees no serious commitment by the Government regarding reforms, especially with regards to the rule of law. However, the same day, Mickoski presented a different stand.
“I don’t know which report by Rapporteur Waitz you’ve read. On the contrary, the one I’ve heard is a complete antipode to your questions”, he said after he’d been asked to comment on Waitz’s statement that there had been no reforms in the country for an entire year.
However, in response to his comments, SDSM leader Filipche said, “Now, according to Mickoski, it turns out both Waitz and the media are lying?”.
Regarding the process to abolish Przhino format of government, Mickoski pointed out that even if SDSM left the group for the Electoral Code or Parliament, there would be no political crisis.
However, Filipche said Mickoski was manipulating, saying SDSM wasn’t planning to leave Parliament. Mickoski also criticized Filipche’s comments during Sunday’s Parliamentary debate on the EU path.
