SDSM with New Accusations at Government Related to Orban and Gruevski

SDSM has called on the Public Prosecutor’s Office to open an investigation into, as Spokesperson Kuzeska said on Saturday, Chinese money connected to the one-billion-euro Hungarian loan from Hungary.

According to SDSM, following Magyar’s announcements regarding the re-examination of Chinese loan contracts in Hungary, the investigation should be expanded to case of North Macedonia.

Kuzeska referenced a Bloomberg report revealing details of a one-billion-euro loan that then-PM Orban’s government took from Chinese banks in 2024, the same year North Macedonia secured a loan of the same amount from Hungary. SDSM considers that in North Macedonia, there were hidden costs and unexplained transfers related to the agreement.

The same day, the party ironically asked whether the documents from the Justice Ministry regarding the case of former PM Gruevski were still traveling. Also on Saturday, the Criminal Court confirmed all documents required for the extradition had been submitted to the Ministry.
